Die Gaverbeek-Rennbahn ist bekannt für Waregem Koerse. Das Rennen findet jedes Jahr am Dienstag nach dem letzten Augustwochenende statt. Das Rennen besteht seit 1848 und umfasst acht Rennen, sowohl Trab- als auch Galopprennen.
Bei den Galopprennen werden auch Hindernisse überwunden, wobei die Irische Berm und der Sprung über die Gaverbeek die bekanntesten und berüchtigsten Hindernisse sind. Kürzlich wurden die Hindernisse angepasst, um sie tierfreundlicher zu machen.
Der Höhepunkt des Rennens, die Große Steeple Chase von Flandern, ist das größte Rennen in Flandern.
