Die Kathedrale ist eine alte Bischofskirche im gotischem Stil, die nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg wieder aufgebaut wurde. Gräber von Bischof Jansenius und von Graf Robrecht van Bethune "Löwen von Flandern". Es gibt einen schönen Seitenaltar mit Retabel und die Wunderstatue der Maria von Thuyne.
Der Turm ist 100 m hoch, und ist nicht zugänglich. Das Lapidarium enthält alte Reste der Martinspropstei. Das Klostergebäude kann an der Nordseite der Kathedrale besichtigt werden.
Die Kathedrale kann frei besucht werden, außer während der Gottesdienste (Geschlossen zwischen 12 und 14 Uhr)
