Das Museum besitzt eine wertvolle und umfangreiche archäologische Sammlung, die einen Besuch mehr als wert ist. Außerdem kann man vor Ort eine archäologische Stätte besuchen. Das Museum, gelegen auf der prähistorischen, römischen und merowingischen archäologischen Stätte von Kerkhove, erzählt die Geschichte der Besiedlungsgeschichte des Scheldetals von der Urgeschichte bis zum frühen Mittelalter. Darüber hinaus kann der Weg von der Ausgrabungsfund bis zum Museumsobjekt nachverfolgt werden. Das Museum ist am zweiten Sonntag des Monats und nach Vereinbarung geöffnet.
