Het museum bezit een waardevolle en ruime archeologische collectie die een bezoekje meer dan waard is. Bovendien kan je ter plaatse een archeologische site bezoeken. Het museum, gelegen op de prehistorische, Romeinse en Merovingische archeologische site van Kerkhove, brengt het verhaal van de bewoningsgeschiedenis van de Scheldevalei van prehistorie tot vroege Middeleeuwen. Daarnaast kan het traject van opgravingsvondst tot museumobject gevolgd worden. Het museum is open op de tweede zondag van de maand en op afspraak.
