Heusden ist ein Ort und Teilgemeinde der Gemeinde Destelbergen in der belgischen Provinz Ostflandern. Heusden war bis 1977 eine selbstständige Gemeinde.
Die älteste Erwähnung des Dorfes stammt aus dem 11. Jahrhundert, als der Abt Othejbold das Ereignis in einem Dokument notiert, das besagt, dass der Ort vor der Invasion der Normannen zur Sint-Baafsabdij gehört haben soll. Später fällt es unter die Herren von Heusden. Nach der Heirat von Beatrix von Heusden mit Zeger III., dem Burggrafen von Gent, wird das Burggraffiat von Gent nach Heusden verlegt. Heusden gehörte bis zum Ende des Ancien Régime zu den Burggrafen von Gent.
