Dieser Stadtpark erstreckt sich von der Eisenbahn-U-Bahn-Station Simonis bis zur Basilika von Koekelberg. Der ursprüngliche Plan war, eine "grüne Verbindung" mit den ländlichen Nachbargemeinden von Brüssel zu schaffen. Obwohl dieser Plan bereits in den 1860er Jahren entwickelt wurde, sollte es bis 1880 dauern, bis mit dem Bau begonnen werden konnte.
Seit 1985 verläuft der Leopold-II-Tunnel unter dem Park. Diese wichtige Verkehrsader verbindet die Kleine Ring (R20) mit dem Großen Ring (R0).
Heutzutage ist der Elisabethpark eine echte grüne Oase mitten in der hektischen Stadt. Die Tour de Campus der ehb führt ebenfalls durch den Park. Es wird empfohlen, hier kurz innezuhalten.
Der Park ist jeden Tag geöffnet.
