Das elektromechanische Schiffshebewerk Strépy-Thieu bei km 11,466 des Canal du Centre in Belgien dient seit 2002 dazu, den Höhenunterschied zwischen der Region Mons und der Nordsee zu überwinden, und ersetzt das benachbarte Hebewerk mit seinen vier hydraulischen Aufzügen und zwei Schleusen. Es gilt als eines der größten Schiffshebewerke der Welt.
