Naturschutzgebiet die Dautenweyers
Die Teiche entstanden durch Eisengewinnung Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts. Danach konnte die Natur ihren Platz wieder einnehmen. Die Dauteweyers sind ein wasserreiches Gebiet. Die Ränder und die Verlandungszonen rund um die Teiche bilden interessante Übergangsgebiete. Weiterhin gibt es Erlenbruchwälder und feuchte Wiesen. Jeder mit seiner spezifischen Fauna und Flora. Hier treffen wir vor allem Pflanzen und Tiere an, die an Wasser gebunden sind. Die Dauteweyers bilden die ideale Kulisse für eine der seltensten Amphibien in unserem Land: den Laubfrosch.
