Betekom ist ein Dorf in der belgischen Provinz Flämisch-Brabant und ein Teilgemeinde von Begijnendijk. Betekom liegt in den Südkempen an der Demer. In Betekom befindet sich eine alte Mühle.
Betekom wurde bereits 1243 erwähnt, ist aber zweifellos viel älter. Der Name leitet sich von Bet-inga-heim ab und hat fränkische Ursprünge. In den späten Mittelalter war das Dorf bereits stark entwickelt. Es hatte damals ein eigenes Schöffenbank und eine Dorfverwaltung. Die Macht über die Herrschaft wurde von den Herren von Rivieren und den Herren von Ter Bruggen geteilt. Beide hatten ein Schloss in der Nähe des Zentrums.
