Betekom es una aldea en la provincia belga de Brabante Flamenco y un municipio de Begijnendijk. Betekom se encuentra en los Zuiderkempen a orillas del Demer. En Betekom hay un antiguo molino.
Betekom ya estaba mencionado en 1243, pero sin duda es mucho más antiguo. El nombre se deriva de Bet-inga-heim y tiene origen francón. En la Baja Edad Media, el pueblo ya estaba muy desarrollado. En ese momento tenía su propio banco de concejales y administración municipal. El poder sobre la señoría era compartido por los señores de Rivieren y los señores de Ter Bruggen. Ambos tenían un castillo a tiro de piedra del centro.
