Betekom è un villaggio nella provincia belga del Brabante Fiammingo ed è una frazione di Begijnendijk. Betekom si trova nelle Zuiderkempen lungo il Demer. A Betekom si trova un antico mulino.
Betekom è già menzionato nel 1243 ma è senza dubbio molto più antico. Il nome è derivato da Bet-inga-heim ed è di origine franca. Nel tardo medioevo il villaggio era già ben sviluppato. Allora aveva un proprio tribunale e un'amministrazione comunale. Il potere sulla signoria era condiviso dai signori di Rivieren e dai signori di Ter Bruggen. Entrambi avevano un castello a un tiro di schioppo dal centro.
