Leisele ist eine Stadt in der belgischen Provinz Westflandern, nahe der französischen Grenze. Seit 1977 ist es eine Teilgemeinde von Alveringem. Leisele stammt aus dem Germanischen und bedeutet lindo = Linde und sali = aus einem Raum bestehendes Wohnhaus. Es wurde 1114 zum ersten Mal als Lincelam als selbständige Pfarrei erwähnt. Das Patronatsrecht der St. Martins-Pfarrei lag in den Händen der Abtei von Étrun.
