Lahamaide ist ein Dorf in der belgischen Provinz Hennegau und ein Stadtteil der wallonischen Gemeinde Elzele im Pays des Collines. Der Name Lahamaide bedeutet Schlagbaum. Ab dem 11. Jahrhundert war Lahamaide im Besitz der gleichnamigen adligen Familie de la Hamaide. 1485 starb Michel de la Hamaide ohne Nachkommen, wodurch Lahamaide in den Besitz seiner Cousine Maria von Berlaymont kam. Sie heiratete Jakob I. von Luxemburg-Fiennes, wodurch das Schloss Eigentum des Hauses Luxemburg-Fiennes wurde. Als Tochter Franziska von Luxemburg Jan IV. von Egmont heiratete, wurde das Schloss von Lahamaide zu Eigentum des Hauses Egmont. Lamoraal von Egmont wurde dort am 18. November 1522 geboren.
