Adegem ist ein Dorf in der belgischen Provinz Ostflandern und ein Teilgemeinde von Maldegem. Es liegt in der Region Meetjesland und war bis Ende 1976 eine selbständige Gemeinde. Adegem hat eine Fläche von 27,70 km² und zählte Ende 2007 5976 Einwohner. Die lokale Bezeichnung lautet Oigem. Adegem ist eines der ältesten Dörfer in Ostflandern. Zahlreiche Fundorte aus der Urgeschichte zeigen, dass Adegem bereits seit der Bronzezeit besiedelt war. Dank der Technologie der Luftbildfotografie wurden an neunzehn verschiedenen Stellen 42 kreisförmige Strukturen gefunden.
