Hier in Klein-Türkei war das bekannte Café 't Vliegend Paard. Während des Ersten Weltkriegs wurden die Töchter aus diesem Café, bekannt als die sieben Schwestern, alle gemeinsam im Krankenhaus Lousbergs aufgenommen, das bekannt war für die Behandlung von Geschlechtskrankheiten. Und das, weil sie an Gonorrhö litten, einer Geschlechtskrankheit, gegen die im Krankenhaus Lousberg behandelt wurde. Die jüngste Tochter war 17, die älteste 38. Während des Ersten Weltkriegs war es nicht ungewöhnlich, dass die Töchter und Frauen der Cafés und Kaffeestuben ihre Dienste als Prostituierte anboten.
