Die Schandfigur von Wilmarsdonk wurde 1970 zum Bürgermeister-Verhulst-Platz in Berendrecht verlegt. Dieser Galgen stammt aus dem Jahr 1767 und stand zwei Jahrhunderte lang an der Boulevard in Wilmarsdonk. Dort diente er als Galgen für Wilmarsdonk selbst, aber auch für Oorderen und Oosterweel, die damals in einer Herrlichkeit vereint waren. An drei Seiten des Galgens sind die Namen der Dörfer angebracht. Während des Abbruchs von Wilmarsdonk (1963 - 1966) gab es viel Aufregung um diesen Galgen. Der Plan, ihn ins Freilichtmuseum Bokrijk zu verlegen, stieß im Polder auf viel Widerstand.
