Der höchste Punkt der Niederlande, der Dreiländereck in Vaals, kann über die Niederlande, Belgien und Deutschland erklommen werden. Der Aufstieg auf den Vaalserberg über Belgien beginnt in Gemmenich und ist 2250 Meter lang. Die kurvenreiche Strecke hat eine durchschnittliche Steigung von 5 %. Maximal beträgt die Steigung 9,1 %. Im Jahr 2025 wird dieser Aufstieg Teil der Oranje-Routen, der beiden Roten Schleifen und der Gelben Schleife 150 km sein. Am höchsten Punkt bei dem Boudewijnturm teilen sich die Routen, und ein Teil der Teilnehmer steigt über Deutschland ab, während ein anderer Teil über die Niederlande absteigt.
