Description

Schöne Lage, abgelegen westlich des Zentrums des Weilers. Erbaut 1887 von einem gewissen Knoors an der Stelle eines Wegkreuzes. 1958 restauriert. Rechteckige, neogotische Kapelle mit drei Jochen und dreiseitigem Abschluss. Weißgetünchte Ziegel. Abgesetzter Sockel. Satteldach (Kunstschiefer). Zweiteilige Strebepfeiler. Spitzbogenfenster in einem profilierten Rahmen. Gleiches Portal mit einer Spitzbogennische darüber. An der Giebelfront ein Giebelstein mit der Datierung. Schmiedeeisernes Kreuz und Wetterfahne. Mobiliar: Statue der Heiligen Jungfrau in der Nische, polychromiertes Holz (ca. 1700); Kruzifix, Eiche (dat. 1834). Die gotische Statue des Heiligen Josef mit Kind wird derzeit in der Pfarrkirche von Stokkem aufbewahrt: Maasland, Lüttich, Meister mit den Rohrfalten (1450-60).
