De kapittelkerk ‘Saint-Paul’, opgericht in de Xde eeuw, werd in de XIXde eeuw de nieuwe kathedraal van Luik ter vervanging van de kathedraal ‘Saint-Lambert’ die tijdens de Luikse Revolutie werd vernietigd. Met gebrandschilderde ramen uit de XVIde eeuw en van nu, de witmarmeren, liggende Christus in barokstijl van de hand van Del Cour, en uitzonderlijk meubilair uit de XIXde eeuw. De kathedraal bezit een van de mooiste gotische kloosters van het land.
