Das Gebiet „De Botermolen“ verdankt seinen Namen einem der ersten und auffälligsten Objekte, die der historische Verein sammeln konnte. Das Rad der authentischen Buttermaschine, das am Eingang des Museums aufgestellt ist, wurde von einem Hund angetrieben, der darin lief. Beim Betreten des Geländes wird der Besucher von einer außergewöhnlichen Sammlung von Karren und Wagen überrascht, eine der umfangreichsten in Flandern.
