The domain 'De Botermolen' owes its name to one of the first and most striking objects that the local history society managed to collect. The wheel of the authentic butter mill, which is set up at the entrance of the museum, was driven by a dog that walked in it. Upon entering the domain, the visitor is surprised by an exceptional collection of carts and wagons, one of the most extensive in Flanders.
