Der Wald von Lûjeu liegt im Süden der Stadt Thuin. Er grenzt an den Wald des Großen Gottes, von dem er durch die Biesmelle, einen kleinen Zufluss der Sambre, getrennt ist. Auf einer Fläche von etwa fünfzig Hektar besteht er hauptsächlich aus einer acidophilen atlantischen Eichen-Hainbuchen-Mischwald. Die Krautschicht ist durch die Häufigkeit des Waldhyazinths (Hyacinthoides non-scripta) gekennzeichnet. Der Standort hat eine wichtige faunistische Bedeutung. Der Bienenasprecher (Pernis apivorus), der Habicht (Accipiter gentilis) und der Mittelspecht (Dendrocopos medius) gehören zu den charakteristischen Arten der Avifauna. Ein emblematisches Insekt, der Große Eichenbock (Cerambyx cerdo), wurde dort kürzlich beobachtet, was als der einzige bekannte Brutplatz dieser gemeinschaftlich schützenswerten Art in Wallonien erscheint.
