Wir besteigen jetzt einen Eisen-Tonsandstein-Hügel bis zu einer Höhe von etwa 45 Metern über dem Meeresspiegel. Auf den älteren Karten stehen hier die Namen Konijnenberg, Rommelaarberg und Middelborg. Der Name Konijntjesberg stammt aus dem 20. Jahrhundert. Der Eisen-Tonsandstein tritt hier zutage. Der Boden ist sandig und nicht sehr fruchtbar. Daher wurden hier Kiefern gepflanzt. Von hier aus hat man ein schönes Panorama auf Rillaar zwischen Aarschot und Scherpenheuvel.
