Das alte Rathaus von Turnhout, sowohl Tuchhalle als auch Fleischhalle sowie Ratssaal für die Gemeindeverwaltung und Vierschaar, war ein freistehendes Gebäude an der Südseite des Marktes, gelegen in der Achse der Herentalsstraat. In der Kern mindestens bis ins 14. Jahrhundert aufsteigend, wurde es wiederholt von Bränden heimgesucht, unter anderem 1716, nachdem es im klassizistischen Stil wieder aufgebaut wurde; 1936 wurde es als Denkmal geschützt, doch 1962, nach dem Bau des heutigen Rathauses, aus "verkehrstechnischen" Gründen abgerissen.
