Seit einigen Jahren nisten regelmäßig weiße Störche an den Kanal-ufern nördlich von Brüssel, insbesondere rund um die Grundstücke von Sita-Suez. Sie kommen von dem Zoo Planckendael, der in Vogelperspektive etwa 15 km entfernt ist, und suchen auf dem Unternehmensgelände nach Nahrung.
