Vor langer Zeit dachte man, dass der Maler Pieter Bruegel der Ältere (1525-1569) hier gewohnt haben soll. Jüngste Forschungen haben ergeben, dass sein Ur-Ur-Enkel David Teniers III (1638-1685) hier lebte.
