Das Universitätsklinikum Brüssel ist das Krankenhaus der Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Es ist mit der Fakultät für Medizin und Pharmazie der VUB verbunden und arbeitet eng mit dem Gesundheitsdepartement der Erasmushogeschool Brüssel zusammen. Diese drei bilden zusammen mit Health City den Medizinischen Campus Jette (wikipedia, o.D.).
Das Krankenhaus spielt eine wichtige Rolle auf regionaler Ebene in der Gesundheitsversorgung. Die Verkehrssprache ist Niederländisch.
Die Straßenbahnlinie 9 bedient das Krankenhaus (Simonis-Dikke Beuk). Außerdem halten mehrere Busse von De Lijn und der MIVB in der Nähe. Das UZ Brüssel ist auch der Endpunkt der Ringtrambus (= Linie 820). Von hier aus fährt sie wieder in Richtung Vilvoorde und Flughafen Brüssel.
