The University Hospital Brussels is the hospital of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. It is affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of the VUB and works closely with the Department of Health of the Erasmus University College Brussels. These three, together with Health City, form the Medical Campus Jette (wikipedia, n.d.).
The hospital plays an important role at the regional level in terms of health care. The official language is Dutch.
Tram line 9 serves the hospital (Simonis-Dikke Beuk). In addition, several De Lijn and STIB buses stop in the area. The UZ Brussel is also the terminus of the ring trambus (= line 820). From here she departs back in the direction of Vilvoorde and Brussels Airport.
