Das Schloss Tervuren war zwischen dem 12. und 18. Jahrhundert der Wohnsitz und eines der wichtigsten Schlösser der Herzöge von Brabant. Es wurde um 1190 unter Heinrich I., Herzog von Brabant, erbaut und prägte über sechs Jahrhunderte die Landschaft von Tervuren, bevor es im November 1781 auf Befehl von Kaiser Joseph zerstört wurde.
Bis heute sind nur einige aktualisierte Fundamentreste am Rand des Schlossgrabens und der Sint-Hubertuskapelle erhalten, ursprünglich ein modernes Holzgebäude des Schlosses, bevor es durch das heutige steinerne Gebäude aus dem 17. Jahrhundert ersetzt wurde.
