Das Waldkreuz in der Kruisdreef wurde 1931 aufgestellt und wird auch spöttisch als 'Waldkreuz gegen Nacktbader' bezeichnet. 1930 wurde ein FKK-Gelände in 50 Metern Entfernung von der Kreuzung errichtet, und der Legende nach soll ein Wilderer während eines nächtlichen Streifzugs durch den Wald acht nackte Frauen getroffen haben, dort eingeschlafen sein und beim Erwachen nichts mehr von seinem nächtlichen Abenteuer gefunden haben. Der Pfarrer war von seiner Geschichte so beeindruckt, dass er an der Kreuzung das Kreuz von Blommerschot aufstellen ließ, um 'nackte Hexen' zu vertreiben.
