Kurz bevor Sie das Dorf Weisten erreichen, kommt ein Viadukt in Sicht. Das Eisenbahnviadukt hat 4 Pfeiler und ist 24 Meter hoch. Die Eisenbahnlinie St. Vith/Gouvy wurde zwischen 1915 und 1917 von russischen Kriegsgefangenen errichtet, von denen viele ihr Leben verloren. In der Zwischenkriegszeit fuhren hier die Kohlenwagen aus dem Ruhrgebiet (D) nach Lothringen (F). Erst 1936 gab es eine Haltestelle in Weisten für die Einwohner aus Weisten, Braunlauf und Crombach. 1952 wurden die Personenzüge durch Wagen - „Trottinetten“ genannt - ersetzt, bis der Verkehr auf der Linie 1968 vollständig eingestellt wurde.
