Net før du når landsbyen Weisten, kommer et viadukt i sigt. Jernbaneviadukten har 4 søjler og er 24 meter høj. Jernbanelinjen St.Vith/Gouvy blev bygget mellem 1915 og 1917 af russiske krigsfanger, hvoraf mange mistede livet. I mellemkrigstiden kørte kulvognene fra Ruhrområdet (D) til Lothringen (F) her. Først i 1936 kom der en stop i Weisten for indbyggerne fra Weisten, Braunlauf og Crombach. I 1952 blev persontog erstattet af togvogne - kaldet "Trottinetten" - indtil trafikken på linjen blev helt stoppet i 1968.
