Net voordat je het dorp Weisten bereikt, komt een viaduct in zicht.Het spoorviaduct heeft 4 pijlers en is 24 meter hoog. De spoorlijn St.Vith/Gouvy werd tussen 1915 en 1917 aangelegd door Russische krijgsgevangenen, van wie velen het leven lieten. In het interbellum reden hierlangs de steenkoolwagons vanuit het Ruhrgebied (D) naar Lotharingen (F). Pas in 1936 kwam er een halte in Weisten voor de inwoners uits Weisten, Braunlauf en Crombach. In 1952 werden de passagierstreinen vervangen door treinwagons - "Trottinetten" genaamd - totdat het verkeer op de lijn in 1968 volledig werd stopgezet.
