Der Fange de Pansîre ist Teil des Komplexes der Fens Spadoises (Spa) , der aus Torfmooren und Mooren besteht , die zwischen Sart-lez-Spa und Remouchamps verstreut sind.
Es ist eine Lichtung von etwa zehn Hektar, umgeben von Fichtenwäldern , an den oberen Hängen des Tals der Amel, auf einer Höhe von etwa 550 m .
Aus historischer Sicht ist auch auf die Anwesenheit von Spuren einer früheren agropastoralen Praxis, der Bodenbearbeitung nach dem Verbrennen, in den hier und da verbleibenden Fragmenten von "Rippenheide" hinzuweisen. Teilweise wurde auch Torf abgebaut.
Aufgrund des Vorhandenseins von Torfmooren sind die Wanderwege in/um das Gebiet mit Brücken ausgestattet.
