Die Hohen Venen sind ein Hochplateau, das 200 Tage Niederschlag und 150 Tage Nebel pro Jahr erleben. Die Hohen Venen haben ein kühles und feuchtes Klima, mit sibirisch kalten Temperaturen im Winter. Im Winter liegt auf dieser Höhe (+ 600 Meter) oft Schnee. Ideal für einen schönen Winterspaziergang.
