Der Pont de Liège ist das erste Bauwerk über der Semois . Bereits im Jahr 1069 war der Bau notwendig, um den Durchgang der wichtigen Handelsroute zwischen Verdun und Lüttich sicherzustellen.
Sie wurde mehrfach durch Treibeis zerstört . Sie mussten bis 1598 auf einen Steinbau warten, den Vauban 1680 durch eine Verteidigungsanlage am linken Ufer verstärkte. Sie wurde 1778 wieder aufgebaut. Die Brücke hieß damals Alte Brücke (Vieux pont).
Der Charme dieser Brücke wurde 1939 durch die Platzierung zweier beeindruckender Statuen am rechten Ufer noch verstärkt. Eine zum Gedenken an Gottfried von Bouillon und die andere dem Heiligen Arnoldus gewidmet. Jetzt finden wir die Statue von Gottfried von Bouillon am Fuße der Burg, die andere steht am Hang „Auclin“. Die neue Brücke stammt aus dem Jahr 1951.
