El Pont de Liège es la primera estructura sobre el Semois . En 1069 ya era necesaria su construcción para asegurar el paso de la importante ruta comercial entre Verdún y Lieja.
Fue destruida varias veces por el hielo a la deriva . Hubo que esperar hasta 1598 para construir una construcción de piedra, que Vauban reforzó con una obra de defensa en la margen izquierda en 1680. Fue reconstruido en 1778. El puente se llamaba entonces Puente Viejo (Vieux pont).
El encanto de este puente aumentó en 1939 con la colocación de dos impresionantes estatuas en la margen derecha. Uno en memoria de Godofredo de Bouillon y el otro dedicado a San Arnoldo . Ahora encontramos la estatua de Godofredo de Bouillon al pie del castillo, la otra está en la ladera "Auclin". El nuevo puente data de 1951.
