Bei Malerarbeiten in der Kirche fand man im Schlussstein der Gewölbe eine Streichholzschachtel mit einem Brief. Der Brief stammte von den vorherigen Malern, die 1941 das Gewölbe malten. Es war mitten im Krieg und die Arbeiter wollten eine Botschaft an die nächste Generation geben. Der Zettel wird im MAS aufbewahrt.
