Beginnen Sie im Kulturzentrum der Abtei von Affligem. Diese Abtei ist einer der wichtigsten Leuchttürme der Region. Sie ist die einzige flämische Benediktinerabtei, die fast 1.000 Jahre nach ihrer Gründung noch von Benediktinern bewohnt wird. Am Fuße der Abtei befinden sich noch einige Hopfenfelder, die von der reichen Hopfenvergangenheit der Region zeugen. Die Wanderung führt auch durch das Naturschutzgebiet Doments Broek und vorbei an der legendären Kluiskapel.

Ziehen Sie auf jeden Fall festes Schuhwerk an, da es recht schlammig werden kann.
