Das Naturreservat rund um den See von Virelle ist Ausgangspunkt für diese schöne Wanderung durch den Wald von Blaimont. Die familienfreundliche Runde entführt in eine stille, einsame Naturlandschaft abseits von Lärm und Hektik. Am Ende der Tour lockt das Aquascope am See von Virelles (Naturinfozentrum mit Vogel- und Unterwasserbeobachtung, Restaurant und naturkundlicher Ausstellung) zu einem Besuch. Das nahe Chimay begeistert mit seinem historischen Ortskern und dem prachtvollen Schloss, das auch für Besucher zugänglich ist. Die Region Chimay ist vor allem bekannt für das Trappistenkloster Notre-Dame de Scourmont, insbesondere für die dort gebrauten Trappistenbiere – man sollte also trotz der Kürze der Wanderung unbedingt mehr Zeit für die Entdeckung der Sehenswürdigkeiten der Region einplanen.
