Obersaxen war bis am 31. Dezember 2015 eine politische Gemeinde im ehemaligen Kreis Ruis, Bezirk Surselva des schweizerischen Kantons Graubünden. Die Gemeinde fusionierte per 1. Januar 2016 mit der Gemeinde Mundaun zur Gemeinde Obersaxen Mundaun.
Die ehemalige Gemeinde, eine walserdeutsche Sprachinsel im ansonsten rätoromanischen Sprachgebiet, liegt auf der rechten Talseite des jungen Rheins an der Nordflanke des Piz Mundaun in der mittleren Surselva. Den auf der rechten Talseite gelegenen Weiler Cathomen trat Breil/Brigels 2003 an Obersaxen ab.
