Sirnach liegt im Murgtal im Hinterthurgau zwischen den Städten Wil und Winterthur und ist das Tor zum Tannzapfenland. Zur Gemeinde gehören neben dem gleichnamigen Dorf die Orte Busswil, Gloten, Horben, Hub, Littenheid und Wiezikon.
Die Nachbargemeinden sind Münchwilen im Norden, Wil im Osten, Wilen im Südosten, Kirchberg im Süden, Fischingen im Südwesten und Eschlikon im Westen.
