Wenn Sie damit leben können, dass Sie einen Berg drei Meter weniger als 3000 m bestiegen haben, werden Sie das Torrenthorn die Mühe wert finden. Der Aufstieg wird durch die Fahrt mit der Torrent-Gondelbahn zur Rinderhütte auf 2310 m erleichtert. Vom Hotel Torrenthorn (2459 m) folgt der Weg dem Westgrat auf einem schmalen, aber gut markierten Weg zum Aussichtsgipfel. Wegen der herrlichen Aussicht auf die Umgebung wird das Torrenthorn oft als «Rigi des Wallis» bezeichnet. Zurück geht es auf dem gleichen Weg zur Station Rinderhütte, der Bergstation der Torrentbahn.
