Der Edersee, auch Ederstausee genannt, ist mit 11,8 km² Wasseroberfläche und 199,3 Mio. m³ Stauraum der nach Fläche zweit- und nach Volumen drittgrößte Stausee in Deutschland . Er liegt am Fulda-Zufluss Eder vor der 48 m hohen Staumauer der Edertalsperre nahe der Stadt Waldeck im nordhessischen Landkreis Waldeck-Frankenberg.
