Lauenburg/Elbe ist eine Kleinstadt im Kreis Herzogtum Lauenburg in Schleswig-Holstein. Die südlichste Stadt Schleswig-Holsteins liegt etwa 40 km südöstlich von Hamburg an der Elbe im Dreiländereck Schleswig-Holstein – Niedersachsen – Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
Lauenburg liegt am nördlichen rechten Ufer der Elbe, die hier die Grenze zwischen Schleswig-Holstein und Niedersachsen bildet. Im Stadtgebiet zweigt der Elbe-Lübeck-Kanal ab, etwa drei Kilometer westlich der Elbe-Seitenkanal. Südöstlich von Lauenburg befindet sich das Dreiländereck Schleswig-Holstein – Niedersachsen – Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
