Das Deutsche Nationaltheater und die Staatskapelle Weimar ist der bedeutendste Bühnenbetrieb Weimars. Die Institution vereint das Musiktheater und die Sprechbühne Deutsches Nationaltheater sowie das Orchester Staatskapelle Weimar. Bespielt werden insgesamt sechs Bühnen im ganzen Stadtgebiet. Alle Sparten des Theaters und des Orchesters geben außerdem unregelmäßige Gastspiele und haben darüber hinaus Auftritte in den elektronischen Medien. Gesellschafter der Deutsches Nationaltheater und Staatskapelle Weimar GmbH - Staatstheater Thüringen sind der Freistaat Thüringen und die Stadt Weimar.
