Bad Wildungen ist eine Kleinstadt mit Heilbäderzentrum und Kurort im Landkreis Waldeck-Frankenberg im westlichen Nordhessen. Bad Wildungen war viele Jahre eines von fünf hessischen Staatsbädern.
Bad Wildungen liegt an den Ausläufern des Kellerwalds im sogenannten Ferienland Waldeck . Die Stadt, die sich östlich des Hombergs ausbreitet, wird von der Wilde durchflossen, die beim Ortsteil Wega in die Eder mündet. Die Stadtteile Wega und Mandern liegen an der Eder. Dieser Fluss bildet, weiter flussaufwärts, den Edersee, einen Stausee, der sich etwa 10 km nordwestlich der Kernstadt von Bad Wildungen befindet. Die südwestlichen Stadtteile Hundsdorf, Armsfeld und Bergfreiheit werden von der Urff durchflossen.
