Hier sind drei Fakten über Karlsruhe:

Karlsruhe ist eine vergleichsweise junge Stadt: Sie wurde am 17. Juni 1715 von Markgraf Karl Wilhelm von Baden-Durlach als barocke Planstadt mitten im Hardtwald gegründet.
Die Stadt wird „ Fächerstadt “ genannt , weil 32 strahlenförmig angeordnete Alleen vom barocken Schloss ausgehen; diese einzigartige Anlage verleiht Karlsruhe sein besonderes Stadtbild.
Karlsruhe ist heute eine wichtige „ Residenz des Rechts “: Sowohl das Bundesverfassungsgericht als auch der Bundesgerichtshof (die höchsten Verfassungs- und Zivil-/Strafgerichte Deutschlands) haben hier ihren Sitz.
