Meine ist eine Gemeinde im Landkreis Gifhorn in Niedersachsen. Das Dorf Meine, das Hauptort dieser Gemeinde ist, wurde erstmals 1007 urkundlich erwähnt, ist aber wahrscheinlich erheblich älter. Meine ist die größte Gemeinde und der Verwaltungssitz der Samtgemeinde Papenteich.
Meine liegt im östlichen Niedersachsen auf dem Weg von Braunschweig zur Lüneburger Heide. Quer durch das Gemeindegebiet verläuft der Mittellandkanal. Das Gelände weist kaum Hügel auf, doch bei klarem Wetter kann man Elm und Harz sehen. Außerhalb der Orte liegen Felder, Laubwälder und bei Abbesbüttel ein Kies- und Sandabbaugebiet.
