Die Gemeinde liegt in der südöstlichsten Ecke von Rheinland-Pfalz zwischen Rhein und Lauter. Am gegenüberliegenden Rheinufer liegen die Große Kreisstadt Rheinstetten , Au am Rhein und Karlsruhe .
Neuburg ist die südlichste Gemeinde von Rheinland-Pfalz. Die Entfernung zur nördlichsten Gemeinde Friesenhagen beträgt circa 280 Kilometer.
